ROCKLAND — Zoning Board of Appeals approves special permit and variance for Korean fried chicken restaurant and bubble tea establishment. JC Foods LLC, represented by Cody Chy and owner James Ho, received unanimous approval to operate a take-out restaurant Monday through Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 900 Hingham Street, Suite 936, along with a dimensional variance to install a 50-square-foot channel letter sign exceeding the 24-square-foot maximum by 30.2 square feet. The board also unanimously granted use and dimensional variances for an LED electronic advertising board at Veteran's Memorial Field measuring 6 feet 5 inches high by 9 feet 11 inches wide, which will display changing advertisements every 15 to 20 minutes during stadium hours.
A dance studio special permit application at 222 Weymouth Street was continued to May 19 pending attendance by the building commissioner and dance studio operator.
