Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of February 3, 2026
Rockland Zoning Board approves veterinary diagnostic lab with conditions. Chair Robert C. Rosa III and the five-member board unanimously granted a Special Permit to Patrick Callanan and Acella Construction for an 800-square-foot Antech Diagnostics facility at 400 Hingham Street, with operating hours Monday-Thursday 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
The facility will employ two to five people conducting non-infectious testing for veterinary clinics. The Board imposed 11 conditions mirroring those for the neighboring South Coastal Animal Health clinic, including mandatory recording with the Registry of Deeds before occupancy and annual Board review. Town Planner Allyson Quinn noted the applicants submitted a complete application and operate a state-regulated business.
