Rockland Council on Aging unanimously approved prior minutes and the monthly financial report at its March 11 meeting. Chairman Andrew McCarthy and nine council members attended. The department reported ongoing housing support work, including interest in the new School House Apartments expected to open by mid-April, and preparations for a March 24 wellness fair organized by intern Jocyanna Goncalves from Bridgewater University.
The council also announced a Mental Health Awareness Month kickoff event on May 7 at the senior center, open to the entire town.
