Finance Committee hears FY27 departmental budgets; Health, Highway, Sewer highlight increases.

ROCKLAND — Finance Committee approves prior minutes and reviews FY27 departmental budgets. Health Department requested a 2.34 percent increase, Waste Disposal 3.02 percent, and Highway operations ranging from 7.19 percent salary increases to a 20 percent cut in materials; the blizzard has cost $1.34 million with more invoices expected. ARJWW Superintendent Kristel Cameron reported the Water Department's stable $8 rate per 100 cubic feet and confirmed the PFAS project remains on schedule.
Dave Taylor reported the Sewer Department will implement a 13 percent rate increase in FY27 to fund plant improvements and ensure a smooth transition with the new Sewer Superintendent starting March 30th.
