Rockland Finance Committee approves FY27 budgets and most town warrant articles. Chairman John Pumphrey and the seven-member committee voted unanimously to advance departmental budgets across General Government, Public Safety, Schools, Public Works, Health and Human Services, Culture and Recreation, Debt Service, and Benefits. The committee also approved the Rockland portion of warrant articles 4 through 27 for the annual town meeting.
Derek Ewell of the Community Preservation Committee briefed the panel on three articles involving GAR renovation, School Street electrical updates, and Spring Street ballfield improvements. The Finance Committee voted unanimously to skip its April meeting; the next gathering is scheduled for May 4 before town meeting begins.
