Council on Aging (COA) · Meeting of June 10, 2026
Rockland Council on Aging unanimously elects Gary Schwartz as Vice President. Chairman Andrew McCarthy led the meeting with thirteen members present, approving prior minutes and the financial report without dissent. The council will sponsor a low vision group through Ellen Gillis, establish a drop-off box to support free lunches for residents, and hold monthly coffee hours with police on the last Friday of each month.
A barbecue celebrating America's 250th year is scheduled for July 9, and the Senior Center will remain closed July 3 with no council meeting in July.
