ROCKLAND — Sewer Commission approves 13 percent rate increase for FY 2027. The unanimous vote raises user rates from $10.14 to $11.46 per 100 cubic feet to support a $600,000 capital improvement program, with $300,000 directed to plant repairs. Vice-Chair Matthew Ryan also sponsored approval of a $1 million transfer from retained earnings into a newly established Stabilization Fund, the first deposit since the fund's creation, which will help defray plant upgrade costs.
The commission separately authorized Town Counsel to schedule a meeting with the EPA to discuss accessory dwelling unit fee structures.
